Last week, I listed a home on Thursday.
We had 7 showings, 19 people through the open house, 8 offers, and we were under contract by Sunday.
At the same time, I’m seeing posts and articles saying we’re in a buyer’s market. And I agree with that; as a whole, it is a buyer’s market.
So if that’s the case, why are some homes selling like hotcakes?
How do you create a seller’s market within a buyer’s market? Because it is possible.
The difference usually comes down to strategy, marketing, and pricing. When those pieces are dialed in and a home is presented better than the competition, the response from buyers can look very different than what the headlines suggest.
That’s when you start to see the kind of activity we saw last week — strong showings, a busy open house, multiple offers, and a quick contract.
So if you’ve been putting off selling your home until it’s a seller’s market, it’s worth considering that now may actually be a great time to sell. With the right strategy, your home can still shine among the rest.
